Irritating Interactive Art

The New York Times has a snarky look at some of the interactive art on display at the Boston Cyberarts Festival. As much as I love interactive art, I have to agree that a lot of it is overly prurient, frustrating to use, and condescending.

Wired has commentary on the festival as well, though they take a more charitable look.

I'm happy to see people working with orbital imagery, as that's what I spend a lot of time doing now. Data connected to place seems important to me.
